[ANNOUNCEMENT] What To Do With Your Class Solidarity

class consciousness (n) - awareness that the members of a class (generally the working class) have of their ‘objective’ class interests and aspirations

Who knew the slaying of a CEO could bring us all together this holiday season, eh?

Turns out, as I've been screaming for years at this point, the greatest threat to us is not necessarily the wedge issues that divide us but, in fact, the ultra-millionaires and billionaires who watch us fighting and laugh from atop their piles of cash.

Okay, so we agree, we (the 99%) all have similar struggles and desires. We want healthcare that actually works. Housing we can actually afford. Money out of politics. What now?

ANNOUNCING: The Why, America? Co-Learning Lab, Launching Jan. 1!

What? A community for curious people who want to discover the “why” behind the way things are in US politics (and what to do about it). With a monthly, self-paced syllabus curated by Leeja Miller. If you’re not sure what to do about the current state of the world, this is a place to start.

Throughout 2025, we'll be tackling the topic Eat The Rich: Political Action In The New Gilded Age.

Where? On the Leeja Miller Patreon page.

When? Starting January 1st and throughout 2025 (and beyond?)

The Dirty Details:

  • At the beginning of each month, for members over on Patreon, I'll announce that month's topic and drop a syllabus that includes a short guide to the topic, plus resources for going deeper (books, articles, documentaries, podcasts, and more)
  • Throughout the month, I'll be creating discussion posts for key topics or sources to help facilitate further learning. Go at your own pace, and participate as much or as little as you want.
  • Each syllabus will also include action items, so we'll not only be learning but ALSO taking action.

📢 JANUARY TOPIC: Let’s Get Organized--Learning From History to Fight for the Future

  • And in February: Citizens Divided--How Billionaires Bought The US Government

What's a "co-learning lab"??

I'm calling this a "co-learning lab" because I don't pretend to be an expert on any of these topics beyond the knowledge I've accumulated over years of studying and watching politics. Much of this will be new for me, too. So we'll all be learning, together.

The Why, America? Co-Learning Lab is exclusive for Patreon members--join for less than a cup of coffee per month. CLICK HERE to join, plus access ad-free, uncensored versions of every Why, America? podcast video episode, and more, exclusively for Patreon subscribers.
